Nigel Farage Claims Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

Nigel Farage has asserted that educators would initiate walkouts shortly after a success at the polls for his party, accusing them of “harming young minds” by telling students that black pupils are victims and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a private US Christian college, the politician expressed his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “Marxist left” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a walkout by educators soon after winning the next general election,” Farage commented in response to questions.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to feel guilt about their nation. They inform an eight-year-old black child that he is a victim and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They are dividing us, instead of fostering unity. They promote this negative culture.”

In response to Farage’s claims, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. Kebede noted that industrial action must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these immediately upon entering government.

“Farage has built his public life on coded rhetoric and now, similar to other figures, he is targeting educators and their organizations for a fight,” Kebede stated.

“I think that’s grossly irresponsible. I don’t – and nor does my union – advocate such divisive theories as he’s suggesting … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for students and learning.”

The party, which tops surveys by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and seems not to have designated an education lead.

Nonetheless, Farage’s remarks indicated the group would reform the system and the curriculum. He said: “We face an enormous task with schooling – absolutely herculean. And, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

Farage expressed that younger generations are receptive to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.

Honoring Charlie Kirk, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to teach critical thinking – to instruct people that multiple perspectives exist and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where views are labeled good or bad. It’s a massive job in both Britain and America.”

Reform has previously clashed with the UK’s largest teaching union, after Kebede called the party “extremist and prejudiced” and described the leader as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.

The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … an individual intent that young minds be corrupted through education, their thinking tainted regarding national issues” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash youth opposed to his party.

Almost one million people work in schools in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The leading teachers’ organization has hundreds of thousands of members.

National strikes over teacher pay and conditions in 2023 caused widespread disruption in schools and extensive missed instruction for students.

During the American gathering, Farage also vowed to promote the digital courses of the Christian college in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “key to resistance”, adding that: “I mean this. I’ll assist attract vast numbers of young people to these educational programs. I make that commitment tonight and I will follow through.”

The institution, a small private Christian college, provides complimentary classes. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is vital for well-being and to perpetuate the blessings of freedom. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to every interested learner.”
